“I’m pleased with how the team competed this weekend,” head coach Libby McGovern said, according to www.bubearcats.com. “They had to sustain a very high level of play over the entire length of their matches and this challenge will be beneficial to us as the season progresses. The caliber of players at this tournament shows us the level of play that we need to achieve in order to be successful this season.”
Binghamton will take the weekend off before it is set to return to action on Oct. 8 at the USTA National Tennis Center Invitational in Flushing, N.Y.
