The Binghamton men’s tennis team extended its win streak to five matches over the weekend, taking three contests at the Army Shootout.
The Bearcats (7-3) opened the weekend by defeating Drexel, 6-1, and then continued on to triumph over Army, 5-2. BU concluded its perfect weekend with a 6-1 victory against St. Bonaventure on Sunday, a meeting which saw Binghamton drop all three doubles matches before earning wins in all six singles contests.
Junior Ismael Dinia and sophomore Eliott Hureau went undefeated on the weekend for the Bearcats, capturing three singles wins apiece. Freshman Thomas Caputo and junior Florian van Kann competed to a combined 4-0 singles record over the weekend.
Next up for BU is a two-team dual against No. 37 VCU. Matches are set to begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Thalhimer Tennis Center in Richmond, Va.
