With sophomore Jesse Perkins and junior Jack Sedgewick leading the way, the Binghamton golf team finished 11th in the 14-team Rutherford Intercollegiate at Penn State.
Binghamton completed the 54-hole course with a mark of 891, 31 strokes shy of first-place Minnesota.
Perkins finished tied for 24th in the individual standings with a score of 221. Sedgewick, meanwhile, tied for 29th with a score of 222.
Junior Josh Holling, senior Bryce Edmister and freshman Kyle Wambold rounded out the competitors for Binghamton. Holling’s 224 score was good for a 39th-place tie, while Edmister landed in a tie for 49th with a mark of 227. Wambold finished tied for 63rd at 230.
The Bearcats will next take the course for the America Sky Championship in Angels Camp, Calif. Play is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on April 25 and conclude on April 27.
