Binghamton sophomore Jesse Garn moved one step closer to a return to the NCAA East Regional Outdoor Track Meet over the weekend with a third-place time of 3:45.67 in the 1,500 at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational.
The time currently ranks at No. 29 in this year’s East Region Top Performance List, and runners with the top 48 times at the end of conference action can punch their tickets to the East Regional Meet. The top 12 runners from the finals of that meet then advance to the NCAA Championships in June.
Garn reached the finals in the 800 at last year’s East Regional Meet. The dates for this year’s meet are set for May 23-25 at North Carolina A&T.
