The Binghamton University men’s and women’s cross country teams are set to head to University at Albany this weekend to compete at the Albany Invitational.
On the men’s side, the Bearcats are coming off a second-place finish in the Brown Race at the Lehigh University Paul Short Run in the end of September. Junior Vasili Papastrat led the squad with a 15th-place finish overall, recording a 26:05 finish in the 8,000-meter course.
Junior Jason Santos finished 25th (26:12), sophomore Chris Fernandez 39th (26:26), junior Anthony Gaetani 51st (26:35) and freshman Cal Michaels 74th (26:51).
At the same event, the women’s side finished in 39th out of 45 squads in the Women’s Gold Race. Junior Lindsay Raulli was Binghamton’s top finisher, navigating the 6,000-meter course in 22:51.
The Albany Invitational will take place tomorrow afternoon.
