University of New Hampshire is set to host the America East men’s and women’s cross country championships on Saturday morning, with the men opening at 10 a.m. and the women following an hour later.
The women will enter the event coming off their best finish all fall — a fifth-place rank in last Friday’s 14-team Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) Mini Meet.
Though the men have not posted a top-five finish this season, sophomore Jesse Garn has shone as a bright spot. He has not yet appeared in a cross country America East championship, but he finished third in the 1,500 at the conference’s outdoor track championship last spring.
Finally fully healthy again, senior Rachel Miura has been the women’s top runner this season. She finished second in the 10,000m last spring at the outdoor championships.
