The Binghamton men’s and women’s track teams kicked off the outdoor season at NC State’s Raleigh Relays this weekend. There was no team scoring at the meet.
Senior John Slaven highlighted the men’s outing with a 15-7 mark in the pole vault, good for seventh place.
On the women’s side, sophomore Ivory Taussig, juniors Erika Kisel and Kathleen Klein and senior Jessica Hennig earned sixth place in the sprint medley relay. The quartet finished with a time of 4:04.85.
The teams are set to return to action this Friday and Saturday at the Sam Howell Open hosted by Princeton. The meet is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. Friday at Weaver Stadium.
