TUESDAY, FEB. 22, 7:06 p.m. — Baxter the Bearcat had his head stolen from the College-in-the-Woods Dining Hall, said Investigator Patrick J. Reilly of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. Shortly after the head was reported missing, a female student called University Police to say she had found the mascot’s head in a girl’s bathroom in Newing College’s Delaware Hall. It is unknown who could have taken the head.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 23, 10:20 a.m. — A 20-year-old female student found that her Netbook had been taken from the place in the Lecture Hall where she had left it, Reilly said. She had left it in the hallway for several hours, but when she came back it was gone. There are no suspects or witnesses.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 23, 2:34 p.m. — Officers on patrol responded to the smell of marijuana in Newing College’s Chenango Hall, Reilly said. They found the room the smell was coming from and questioned the 20-year-old male student who was in the room. They found a green leafy substance which tested positive for marijuana and issued an appearance ticket for Vestal Town Court for unlawful possession of marijuana.
