Anthony Hilmi, a BU junior and resident at the non-recognized Zeta Beta Tau fraternity house on State Street, was arrested yesterday for the possession of 9.1 ounces of suspected powder cocaine worth a street value of more than $25,000, local news sources are reporting.
Additionally, upon searching Hilmi’s room at the ZBT house, police found 2.8 grams of suspected powder ecstasy, 3.7 grams of suspected hallucinogen mushrooms, 205.5 grams of suspected marijuana, suspected steroids, pharmaceutical drugs, two brass knuckles, an unloaded H&R 12-gauge shotgun, a common cutting agent for cocaine and $3,890, according to WBNG news.
The arrest reportedly came after a month-long investigation by the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force. ZBT lost its campus charter last semester and is no longer recognized by the national ZBT affiliate.
