TEDxBinghamtonUniversity “Unleashed Radiance” this past Sunday in its 13th-annual conference. Held in the Osterhout Concert Theater in the Anderson Center, this year’s TEDx showcased speakers from various fields whose passions drive their work and their efforts at bettering their communities. The theme, “Unleash Radiance,” was to leave an imprint on those passionate within their hobbies and careers that want to give back to their community, according to the TEDxBinghamtonUniversity website.
Pipe Dream spoke to Shantay Carter, ‘00, a nurse and the CEO of Women of Integrity, Inc. Carter graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelors of science in nursing and started her career at UHS Binghamton General Hospital.
Pipe Dream sat down with Sherrell Dorsey, founder and chief executive officer of The Plug, a platform used by Fortune 1000 companies to track the Black Innovation economy. Dorsey has also served as a marketing manager for tech companies such as Uber and a contributing writer for publications such as the Columbia Journalism Review.
