The COVID-19 pandemic has hit local businesses hard all over the country and Binghamton is no exception. However, the incredible and unyielding spirit of Binghamton’s business owners, many of whom Binghamton University alumni, pushes forward as the light at the end of the tunnel inches closer. This year, Pipe Dream has chosen to highlight the work and services these business owners provide to BU students and locals alike with our very own Local Business issue! From features on student landmarks such as Imagicka and Sugar Lips to University, city and county efforts to revitalize the community, we hope this special issue will give back to the community we’ve grown to love over the course of our college careers.
