TOP FIVE

“Sex and the City” stars call off the cat fight.

After it was rumored that the girls from the hit series were going to star in a movie, Kim Cattrall backed out because she wanted to be paid as much as Sarah Jessica Parker. Now, two years removed from the show, it appears Cattrall doesn’t care about matching Parker’s paycheck. In fact, she’d be happy to get any paycheck at all.

Teenage boy’s wet dream meets the big screen.

Sofia Coppola is looking to bring the screenplay for “Tipping the Velvet” to theaters near you. The film stars Eva Longoria and Beyonce Knowles — as lovers. While there’s a good chance this female version of “Brokeback Mountain” will be as bad as “Gigli,” men will probably flock to it with the same enthusiasm they once had for their fathers’ Playboys.

… then comes Nicole Kidman with the baby carriage.

It looks like Nicole Kidman is having a child with hubby Keith Urban. With Urban currently in rehab for alcohol abuse, it looks like Kidman will have to attend her Lamaze classes alone.

The power of “Grey’s.”

First NBC altered their Thursday night lineup to “Must See TV” in order to compete with ABC’s smash-hit “Grey’s Anatomy.” Now, Fox is moving “The OC” in an effort to save the show from losing its audience. Maybe ABC used Grey’s cast member Isaiah Washington, better known as Dr. Preston Burke, to bully other networks the way he did with the show’s “McDreamy,” Patrick Dempsey.

Nick and Vanessa to wed?

While Jessica Simpson admits she hasn’t been on a real date since her divorce from Nick Lachey, it looks like Lachey is itching to wed girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo. Maybe they’ll have a better shot at marital bliss than Nick and Jess … that is, if he doesn’t try to cash in on the nuptials by signing up to shoot “The Newlyweds, Part II.”

What’s In

Sore Losers

Kanye West “brought crazy back,” according to MTV Europe Music Awards host Justin Timberlake. West stormed on stage and yelled at the crowd after losing out in the “Best Video” category. The following week at the Country Music Awards, Faith Hill (who claims she was only kidding) yelled “What!” and ran from the camera when Carrie Underwood was announced winner of the “Album of the Year” award. Apparently, clapping politely after losing an award is out of style.

What’s Out

Britney is K-Fed up.

Finally, Britney Spears came to her senses and turned K-Fed into FedEx. Maybe Spears took his low album sales (only 6,500 so far) and canceled tour dates as a sign that he would have forever been living off her paycheck. You know K-Fed is hanging on to whatever money he can get when he’s trying to sell the former couple’s sex tape whilst asking for custody of his children.

Say What?

“I’m not a perfect person, but I’m not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of.”

-Ryan Phillippe, in response to accusations he cheated on Reese Witherspoon

If you believe the reports, Reese Witherspoon called off her seven-year marriage with Ryan Phillippe because she caught him cheating with “Stop Loss” co-star Abbie Cornish. Even with Phillippe’s denials, many still believe he had cruel intentions.
