Jen Shlomo, a sophomore majoring in English, is very grateful for her contact.

‘I’m extremely interested in the fashion industry, and oftentimes regret not attending a university that has that major,’ Shlomo said. ‘My friend’s dad works in the fashion industry and was able to set me up with a great internship with his company for this upcoming summer. I am so excited, and know that it is going to be a great learning experience.’

Jason Blackman, also a sophomore majoring in English, attributes his internship success to a great connection.

‘My friend’s dad works in the film industry, which is a field that I hope to work in one day. I was able to get a great internship through him doing production on movie sets. They asked me to come back again this summer, and I can’t wait. I truly think that this is going to help me to get a job that I love one day,’ Blackman said.
