Financial aid is awarded on a yearly basis, and students should prepare to apply next semester to get their awards for the coming school year.

Keep in mind:

-It is vital that students submit their FA application by Feb. 1. The FA office starts awarding in March.

-Some applications require an essay.

-Returning students should be in contact with academic departments to see if there are available scholarships.

-Don’t pay for scholarship searches when there are free ones on the Web, like FastWeb.com.

-Start setting up connections for a summer job during the upcoming winter break.

-Look out for job postings by the FA office.
