Lock:
Denver (-4 1/2) over Cleveland
If you take a look in Webster, this is the very definition of a lock. A legitimate 4-1 team vs. a dreadful 1-4 team with a mere 4.5-point spread. Screw Pipe Dream, I’m going to Vegas. Denver and Cleveland shouldn’t even play in the same league.
Upset Special:
Carolina (+4 1/2) over Cincinnati
If Jake Delhomme put up 365 yards at Baltimore, the sky’s the limit against a banged-up Cincinnati squad. The overrated Bengals haven’t had a decent game since week two and might not win again until Thanksgiving.
Game 1:
Green Bay (+4 1/2) over Miami
Is the over/under based on how many missed tackles we think will be made? Green Bay’s defense is painful to watch, but this is a game Brett Favre has to win. I’ll take the over.
Game 2:
Pittsburgh (-1 1/2) over Atlanta
The last time Michael Vick met the Steel Curtain (2002), the game ended in a deadlock after 75 grueling minutes. It’s time for the defending Super Bowl champs to break the tie.
