WEDNESDAY, Oct. 14, 7:07 p.m. — Campus police acquired a warrant to search a room for drugs in Mountainview College’s Marcy Hall, said Investigator Dennis P. Bush of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. Four arrests were made, including two 20-year-old males and two 19-year-old males, all students. Police seized a large amount of marijuana that had been stored in the room, as well as several pieces of drug-related paraphernalia. All four suspects were issued appearance tickets for Vestal Town Court for Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m.
THURSDAY, Oct. 15, 2:10 a.m. — An unknown suspect reportedly stole a $175 18-volt cordless hammer drill from a 51-year-old male BU employee, Bush said. The victim stated that he had been at work doing repairs in College-in-the-Woods’ Oneida Hall when the suspect came by and took his drill out of his nearby toolbox. There were no witnesses, and police have no suspects.
THURSDAY, Oct. 15, 2:24 a.m. — Officers on patrol received reports of an unconscious male in the Skyward Trail of the Nature Preserve, Bush said. They found a man struggling to walk down the path, and they identified him as a 20-year-old student. The student admitted to having been drinking in Downtown Binghamton. He could not remember what he had been drinking or how much, although he said that it was “too many.” Harpur’s Ferry was dispatched to check the student, though he refused medical attention. Harpur’s Ferry confirmed that he was in good enough condition to walk home by himself.
THURSDAY, Oct. 15, 11:35 a.m. — A female Binghamton University employee reported two 6-foot plastic folding tables missing from the Dickinson Amphitheater, Bush said. The tables were last seen on the Oct. 9, and when BU staff came to pick them up, they were gone. The tables are estimated to be valued at approximately $650 total. Police have no suspects.
