FRIDAY, Sept. 18, 3:30 a.m. — A University employee called officers when he discovered that his car had been vandalized overnight, said Investigator Dennis P. Bush of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. Officers discovered that someone had punctured the rear and front driver’s side tires of the state vehicle. Police have no suspects.
WEDNESDAY, Sept. 23, 11 p.m — Officers on patrol responded to a complaint of a noisy party at Hillside Community’s Evangola Hall, Bush said. When they arrived, the officers could see “many people through an open window and a ping pong ball bouncing from the table to the floor.” The officers knocked on the door and “heard the room go silent.” They were allowed access into the room and saw beer cans on the floor and red cups scattered throughout the room. There were 10 students in the common area of the apartment and the officers discovered three more students hiding in the closet of one of the rooms. A 21-year-old male student admitted to having provided the beer to the others, 10 of whom were underage. All of the alcoholic beverages were collected from the apartment and disposed. The students will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
