Wanna be my girlfriend?

FEB. 9, 7 p.m. ‘ A supervisor for Off Campus College Transport contacted Binghamton’s New York State University Police about an unruly passenger. The suspect, a 41-year-old male Binghamton University student, had allegedly been harassing the bus operator, a 21-year-old female ‘ by incessantly coming on to her. ‘He kept saying she was beautiful,’ said Investigator Dennis P. Bush, ‘and [kept] asking her why she wouldn’t be his girlfriend.’ Though the suspect made some ‘inappropriate’ comments, Bush said none of the remarks made references to anatomy. No charges were filed.

All that scratchin’ making you itch?

FEB. 12, 3:45 p.m. ‘ A vandal apparently scratched a car across the length of its side in Lot M2 with something sharp ‘ probably a key, Bush said. Lot M2 is located west of Hinman College. Police had no suspects.

B-Ball battle

FEB. 12, 6:46 p.m. ‘ Police received a report that two males, while playing basketball in the East Gym, had grown heated and got into a fight, Bush said. But when officers arrived on scene, the men had already shaken hands and resumed playing. Bush could offer no description of the scuffle, but said there were no signs of any physical injuries.

Broome burn-out?

FEB. 12, 8:19 p.m. ‘ Police were called to Newing College’s Broome Hall on a complaint of marijuana odor. Officers knocked on the door of the suspicious room, but no one responded. ‘The residents of the room will be named as suspects,’ Bush said. It was unclear whether they were referred to the campus judicial system.

‘ Robert Hadad-Zlokower
