MONDAY, Nov. 3 — A female cleaner of College-in-the-Woods’ Mohawk Hall reported an unknown person had removed a vacuum from a service closet, according to Investigator Dennis Bush of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. The door is reported to have been locked, although the resident assistants have a key to the closet. The vacuum is valued at $200.
MONDAY, Nov. 3 — A 41-year-old female cleaner of Hinman College’s Roosevelt Hall discovered that a dry chemical fire extinguisher had been set off in the laundry room, Bush said. The extinguisher was replaced and police have no suspects.
TUESDAY, Nov. 4 — A 20-year-old female student found her parking permit hangtag stolen from her unlocked blue Toyota vehicle, Bush said. The hangtag is valued at around $120 and police have no suspects.
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 5 — Two handheld radios with chargers were stolen from the employee office in Library South, Bush said. The supervisor had left the office on Friday and when he returned on Monday the radios were missing. He searched for them, thinking they were borrowed, but could not find them. The communication devices and chargers were valued at $100 each.
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 5 — A 30-year-old male resident director of Hinman College’s Cleveland Hall found a dry chemical fire extinguisher had been set off in the stairwell, Bush said. The extinguisher was replaced and police have no suspects.
