A Scottish distillery is planning to revive a centuries-old recipe for quadruple-distilled 184-proof (92 percent alcohol) whiskey, according to the Associated Press. The average whiskey is distilled twice and has an alcohol content of between 40 and 63.5 percent. The Bruichladdich distillery on the Isle of Islay, off Scotland’s west coast, is using a Gaelic recipe for the spirit, known as usquebaugh-baul, translated as “perilous water of life.” However, ambitious drinkers will have to wait ten years for the drink to be ready.

After having a camera stolen, a Wisconsin woman made a strange discovery when she went through the contents of her vandalized purse— the thief’s parole card. Apparently, while reaching into the bag for the camera, the vandal dropped his card, complete with name, time stamp, and date of next appointment. He has since been apprehended.

A seven year old south Indian girl was forced to marry a stray dog because her family believed it would cure them of bad luck. According to Daily Record, a United Kingdom newspaper, the girl’s upper adult teeth arrived before her lower teeth, an event which her superstitious father called a “bad omen” and believed put the “evil eye” on the entire family. He felt that by marrying the dog, she would remove the eye’s spell and be free to marry a man later. The wedding celebration lasted three days.

A Connecticut hardware store employee made a heavenly discovery when he found a piece of sheet metal with oil stains resembling the face of Jesus Christ. According to USA Today, the employee and a co-worker are now trying to sell the holy metal on eBay to the highest bidder. The item, which has a “buy it now” price of $10,000, has not yet recieved any bids.
