At this point in the fantasy football season, every manager should know where he stands. If you are preparing for a playoff run, here is what I’ve been noticing in fantasy football lately.

In this edition, we will discuss players on the rise ‘

Marc Bulger, STL QB ‘ After a tumultuous start to the season, plagued with injuries and an offensive line that was as nonexistent as Binghamton University’s, Bulger looks to be on the rebound. The Rams are coming off an impressive win over the Saints, where Bulger threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns. To all the Bulger owners out there, it looks as if he may begin repaying you for the high draft pick you originally wasted on him.

This Week: Rams at 49ers

Kev’s Guess: Bulger ‘ 290 yards, three passing TDs

Donovan McNabb, Phi QB ‘ McNabb is tougher than an overcooked Philly cheese steak. After the media doubted his future as a starter last week, McNabb bounced back with a stellar performance, posting four touchdowns on 251 passing yards on the road against a tough Redskins defense. McNabb hasn’t made it past week 11 since 2004 due to injuries, but historically his second-half numbers prove that he can literally carry a fantasy team. The NFC East is closer than it seems, and the throw-happy offense of the Eagles can make McNabb a top-tier fantasy quarterback.

This Week: Dolphins at Eagles

Kev’s Guess: McNabb ‘ 310 yards, two passing TDs, one rushing TD

Greg Jennings, GB WR ‘ Statistically, it appears that Jennings has captured the role of ‘No. 1 receiver’ for the Packers over veteran wide-out Donald Driver. It’s no surprise that Brett Favre is going to continue throwing the ball, so look for Jennings to continue giving fantasy owners a solid contribution each week.

This Week: Panthers at Packers

Kev’s Guess: Jennings ‘ 87 yards, one TD

Chester Taylor, Min RB ‘ Adrian Peterson has stolen the hype and the starting RB position from Taylor, and rightfully so, but Peterson is going to have to steal a new leg in order to help out a fantasy team before the playoffs. AP is potentially out for two to four weeks with an LCL tear, which means it’s time for Chester to shine. Taylor has proved to be effective when given the carries and he now has something to prove. If he is somehow available in your league, pick him up and throw him into your lineup ASAP.

This Week: Raiders at Vikings

Kev’s Guess: Taylor ‘ 74 yards, one TD

Andre Johnson, Hou WR ‘ Johnson hasn’t suited up since week two, and that is always a concern, but roll with me on this one. Reports are claiming he will start this week, so look for him to continue where he left off. His first two games of the season were simply ridiculous: in two games he totaled 262 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Starting QB Matt Schaub is also returning this week and the two have shown they have excellent chemistry. Keep in mind that, other than the Colts, both the Jaguars and Titans are dealing with their own plethora of problems, so a Texans push isn’t too far-fetched.

This Week: Saints at Texans

Kev’s Guess: Johnson ‘ 79 yards, one TD
