Study Abroad in London information session
An information session on the Semester-in-London program will be held on Wednesday, March 1 in Lecture Hall Five. The program offers students the opportunity to live, work and study in central London. Students of all majors are eligible for the program. Career Development Center offers help with connecting majors and careers
The CDC will be hosting “Your Major Your Career,” a program to help students understand how their majors can serve them in the professional world, on Wednesday, March 1 in UUW-324 from 3-4:30 p.m. The program will teach students about major/career connections and the resources they can explore to find out more about how their majors translate to the real world.
Applications for Principles of Service Learning class due by March 9
Off Campus College is offering a new class, Principles of Service Learning, in which students interested in community service can learn how to assess and evaluate service projects and open-ended problems in a group setting. Principles of Service Learning is a two-credit, half-semester, pass/fail course that will meet from 8:30-10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning March 21. Interested students must submit a 300-word essay explaining why they would like to take the class to OCC, located in UUW-204, by March 9.
Outdoor Pursuits Plans Trip
Binghamton Outdoor Pursuits (BOP) is planning a canoeing trip to the Pine Barrens in Speedwell during spring break. The cost of the trip is $50 and includes transportation, food and equipment. Students can sign up at the BOP office located in EG-38 by Monday, March 6. A mandatory meeting will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. that day.
