Last year I was the laughingstock of friends and foes alike because of my undying belief that the Giants were going to win the Super Bowl. To those friends and foes I say, “HA!”

This year, once again, I root for the underdog. The Cardinals really do have what it takes to clinch the Lombardi Trophy. Like every great team is supposed to be able to, they can pull through in the most desperate and exciting times.

Sure they were the sixth seed, but then again, this season has been filled with surprises and upsets for everyone. The fall of the Titans, the injury to Tom Brady, the breakdown of Brett Favre toward mid-season … the list goes on. These Cardinals have come so far as to out-perform the Eagles, the Panthers and the Falcons. On top of this, the Cardinals have Kurt Warner who has completed 61-of-92 passes for 770 yards and eight touchdowns … more than average, don’t you think? Then there is Larry Fitzgerald, who is an unbelievable receiver and runs routes better and better every day.

The Cardinals can make this happen, folks … all kinds of crazy things happen in the Super Bowl.

Cardinals 21, Steelers 18
