Here are some easy ways to get your cardio in if you don’t belong to a gym. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends doing cardiovascular exercise three to five times per week for 20 to 60 minutes.
Monday: Walk or run twice around the brain ‘ 2.5 miles
Tuesday: Walk or run around the track ‘ eight laps equals two miles
Wednesday: Rest day
Thursday: Dance for 20 to 30 minutes in your room to favorite music
Friday: Rest day
Saturday: Walk around Lecture Hall at a pace that gets your heart rate up for 30 minutes. This is a good weekend activity because classes won’t be in session.
Sunday: Walk or run up and down the Library Tower once or twice. You can go up one side and down the other for an intense workout that adds up to 30 floors up and 30 floors down.
