Fed up after a grueling week of two-hour classes and ridiculous assignments? Got nothing to do on a Friday night? Do you just wanna release your stress in a manner rather than drinking alcohol? Are you a sucker for fresh air? Well, tonight my Binghamton University comrades, I’ve got three words for you: Bearcats Sports Complex. The home opener for the men’s soccer game will be bigger and better than ever this year. Enjoy the aura of the AstroTurf and the towering lanterns that gives a new meaning to the phrase “Friday Night Lights,” or join the chorus of the Bearcat Hooligans in rooting for your team (while mocking the opponents).

So you may have heard Bucknell is a tough team. They’ve matched top-ranked athletic schools like Penn and Ohio State. But hey, Persia was a tough nation too. It didn’t stop the Spartans from their kicking their &$%es.

The Bearcats have refused to drop one in the last five games and they have no reason so far to break the streak. The players are in their prime, they continue to prove their ability to break through any obstacle and they have shown they can come back twofold from where they have fallen since the America East championships last year.

We’ve got the gate guardian Jason Stenta who this season has a 0.62 goals against average. The team also has one man offensive onslaught Cameron Keith, who has been a driving force both this season and last season. In addition, defensive demon Barry Neville has only let one goal get past him in four games. This game is big because it will finally give head coach Paul Marco’s team the chance to show Bearcats fans why it is known as the continuing Dynasty of Binghamton University.

So we have the team, the stadium and the press. The only thing that is missing is you! This is big, folks. So grab your loved ones, your friends and your family, streak some green and white on your face, and go support Binghamton’s highly-praised team, because a soccer home opener only comes once a year.
