If you’re not as lucky as the Pipe Dream staff to be watching the Super Bowl from the Dolphin Stadium sidelines this Sunday, here are some spots in lovely sunny Binghamton where you can enjoy the game.

If you’re in the University Plaza area at game time, why not head over to Tully’s, located in the Vestal Plaza. For the game, Tully’s is offering an option to buy one alcoholic drink (for Bearcats over 21, of course), which will also get you a ticket for a raffle where you can spin a wheel and possibly go home with one of a variety of prizes, including free food, gift certificates and sweatshirts.

If that doesn’t excite you, and I can’t imagine spinning a prize wheel not being exciting for anyone, State Street offers a variety of exciting options. And though no BU student has ever been at Sports Bar on Sunday night, why not check it out? Rather than taking part in the traditional Sports Bar rituals of ‘getting low,’ and ‘putting your back into it,’ you can gorge yourselves on free pizza and wings, while playing in a special game of Super Bowl beer pong.

If the thought of watching Rex Grossman at Sports Bar is ‘gross’ to you, why not head next door to the classy Tom and Marty’s Tavern? The good people of Tom and Marty’s will have a complimentary spread, featuring pasta, some wings and ‘whatever we got lying around.’ And if what they got lying around doesn’t tickle your pallet, you can at least take a look at oh-so-cute Peyton Manning on one of their two 42-inch TV’s or one of their eight other television sets.

Up the road from these two is the new kid on the block, the Mad Moose Saloon. Don’t let the word saloon fool you ‘ you don’t run the chance of being shot by Billy the Kid at Mad Moose, but you do run the risk of having a great time! For a $10 entrance fee you will be treated to a free shooter, a gourmet buffet and a really cool moose on the wall. Drink specials will revolve around what’s happening in the game; personally we can’t wait to try the Tank Johnson Car Bombs. They will also be running a raffle.

If heading to a bar isn’t your thing, you can always stay in your dorm room. The dorm room offers closeness, comfort and the guarantee that you will be with your closest friends. Of course, if you party too hard after every Dallas Clark touchdown, you run the risk of being kicked out of your dorm, so be careful!

One thing we must advise against is busting into your girlfriend’s dorm room at game time, dressed like a Bear in an Urlacher jersey and switching off the episode of ‘Top Model’ that she is watching because you want her company to watch the game. Yeah, maybe the Bears will win, but in the end you’ll be the one who loses.

And better than a dorm room is, of course, the off-campus party. These offer security in the sense that you can do whatever you want without fear of interruption from an RA or the kid down the hall who hates fun and likes to call the police on you just for partying.

So find your off-campus buddies, bring some supplies and have fun. Of course, if you have no friends, this can’t be done.

Then again, you could always go to the Sports editor’s house on Murray Street, because in addition to watching the game, you could probably steal the TV and some laptops and no one would notice.
