Down 15 points going into the final week, I put on the full court press. I came out victorious as Evan Drellich choked.

While I went 4-for-4 in Week 14 to win the regular season championship, I can’t take full credit. I have to thank Drellich for going 0-for-4 picking the Eagles (-3) over the Giants, the Dolphins (+7) over Bills, the Ravens (+10) over the Colts and the Steelers (+10) over the Patriots. Maybe Mr. Drellich should stick to playing Madden instead of predicting games. But in the end, my analysis along with brilliant picks helped me win it all.

But my journey is not done yet. Winning the regular season is one thing, but now I have one last pick to cement my place in Pipe Dream history as the first person to ever win the regular season and Super Bowl pick. With that being said, I have a lot of pressure on me. Do I go with who I think will win, the New England Patriots (-12), or do I go with who I am rooting for, the New York Giants? Do I go with my brain or my heart?

And the answer is ‘ I am going to take the Patriots (-12) over the Giants. I have no doubt the game will be close in the first half, but I don’t see the Patriots taking their foot off the gas at any point. A 10-point lead will become 17 and 14-point lead will become 21. And that has nothing to do with the Giants defense, but this Patriots offense is too good and has too many weapons. As for the Giants offense, Eli Manning has been a little too perfect throughout the playoffs and is due for a couple INTs and typical Eli throws. And while the Cowboys and Packers only had one week and the Giants had the element of surprise, the Pats know who they are dealing with. Plus with the two-week break, it’s very possible the Giants’ hot streak has cooled down. They are a great story but as a Giants fan, I am just hoping they don’t embarrass themselves.

Patriots 41, Giants 24; MVP: Tom Brady.
