On Saturday, the Binghamton University men’s swimming and diving team handled visiting Stony Brook University for the 11th consecutive time. BU dominated the Seawolves, 172-91, in the Bearcats’ final home meet of the season.
Of the winners on the day, Bearcat seniors Nolan Slesnick and Dan Feeley were able to cap off the season on a positive note by giving Binghamton significant points in its final home victory.
Slesnick had three individual wins, starting with a record-breaking win in the 1,650 free. With a time of 16:00.27, Slesnick smashed the previous pool record of 16:17.53 set last season by Cornell. Slesnick also won the 500 free (4:38.88) and 200 IM (1.57.56) to close out his home career.
Feeley was also able to bring home a victory in the 200 free (1:44.74) in his final regular season meet.
With the regular season finished, the Bearcats will spend the next two weeks preparing for the America East Championships, set to begin on Feb. 23 at Boston University.
