THURSDAY, March 11, 3:35 p.m. — A supervisor in the East Gym called the police after a 19-year-old male student attempted to enter the facility using someone else’s student ID, said Investigator Dennis P. Bush of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. When officers on patrol arrived, they identified the student to whom the ID belonged and contacted him. The ID owner admitted that he had allowed his roommate to use the card to gain entry to the East Gym after his privileges had been revoked due to a previous violation of the law. Police confiscated the ID and advised the suspect to stay out of the East Gym.

FRIDAY, March 12, 3:05 p.m. — Two 18-year-old male students and one 19-year-old male student made a series of harassing calls and voicemails to a 21-year-old female student, Bush said. The suspects were reportedly friends of the victim’s ex-boyfriend, and were calling to tease her. All of the suspects were identified; patrol interviewed them and took statements. One arrest was made.

SATURDAY, March 13, 6:59 a.m. — A 19-year-old female student reported to police that she had received 14 harassing phone calls on her cell phone since October 2009, Bush said. All of the calls were placed by an unknown caller between midnight and 4 a.m., but the caller said nothing during any of the calls. Police advised the victim to contact her cell phone provider to ask about blocking unknown callers.

SATURDAY, March 13, 9:27 p.m. — Officers on patrol responded to a report that two 23-year-old male students were involved in a physical altercation at the Old University Union bus stop, Bush said. Police arrived on the scene, where both students remained, and separated them in order to interview them individually. Based on their reports the two are roommates off campus, and one had struck the other after a disagreement between the two. One arrest was made.
