LOCK: St. Louis (-3) over ARIZONA — The Rams finally got their first road win of the season this past week at Denver. They should have plenty of confidence when they travel to Arizona this Sunday. We all know by now that Derek Anderson puts his “heart and soul” into his job, which doesn’t say much about him, given the way he has played this year. The Cardinals have nothing going for them on offense right now.
New Orleans (-6.5) over CINCINNATI — The Saints are are quietly putting together a very good campaign. New Orleans will stay the course this week as it faces the Bengals, who have been one of the biggest busts in the league this year. Carson Palmer is a shell of his former self, and the Saints, after an inconsistent start to the season, are rolling on offense now.
GREEN BAY (-9.5) over San Francisco — The Packers lost a tight one at Atlanta last week and have a great chance to rebound with the 49ers coming to town. With Frank Gore now on injured reserve, San Francisco won’t be very competitive the rest of the way. Don’t let Monday night’s game fool you — Brian Westbrook can not, and will not, run like that again. Aaron Rodgers will torch the Niners’ secondary and lead the Pack to an easy win.
Chicago (-3.5) over DETROIT — Shaun Hill was capable enough to keep the Lions in games with Matthew Stafford sidelined, but now with Drew Stanton at the helm, I don’t see much working in the Lions’ favor in this one. The Bears will ride the momentum of their big win over the Eagles and will be laughing like Derek Anderson by the game’s end.
