SATURDAY, Nov. 1, 2 a.m. — Officers found a 54-year-old man loitering near Hillside Community’s residence halls late at night, according to Investigator Dennis P. Bush of Binghamton’s New York State University Police. The man had gone through the information booth to get into the University, but he was not allowed to be “just hanging around the residence halls,” Bush said. The officers also reported that the man had been drinking. He is set to appear for a hearing at Vestal Town Court on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 5:30 p.m.
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 5 — Parking Services employees found an illegally displayed vehicle hangtag in Parking Lot F, Bush said. As they could not locate the operator, the vehicle was booted. Officers were later advised that the owner of the car was seen at the vehicle. The officers approached the 22-year-old male student, who said that he had found the hangtag. He is set to appear in Vestal Town Court on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 5:30 p.m.
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 5, 8 a.m. — University police were contacted by the New York State Police Violent Felony Warrant Squad about an arrest warrant for a Binghamton University student, Bush said. The officers executed the arrest warrant for the 20-year-old female student, who lives in College-in-the-Woods. The state police then came and picked the student up. The felony was not committed on campus.
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 5, 11 a.m. — Parking Services employees located an illegally displayed vehicle hangtag in Parking Lot M1, Bush said. The operator of the vehicle was located at his residence, and said he had purchased the hangtag from an unknown person. In addition, the number had been changed on the hangtag. The case is still pending investigation.
