Different pool, same old story.

The Binghamton University men’s swimming and diving teams continued to roll against conference rival New Hampshire on Sunday, while the women dropped their fourth meet of the year.

Led by juniors Brian Koizim and David Holmes, who each won a pair of events, the men’s and women’s teams split the dual meet against the Wildcats at the Swasey Pool in New Hampshire.

The men, who are now 5-0 overall, and 3-0 against conference foes, won each event and emerged victorious 145-54. The women, however, were defeated 141-94, and now stand at 1-4 on the season.

Junior Trevor Stone was impressed with the team’s effort.

“We trusted each other to go crazy out there and we all came through,” Stone said. “It goes to show us what we can do when we really focus.”

While the men have been rolling, the women have struggled this season, especially against other teams from the conference.

“They’ve got a lot more competition,” said junior Pat Hart. “Our girls are real good, it’s just harder for them to compete against the power houses they swim against.”

Both teams continue their seasons this weekend at the Bucknell Invitational.
