Pipe Dream’s L.J. Spaet recently interviewed women’s basketball player Jen Haubrich. The senior power forward played four seasons at Binghamton and plans on graduating in May.

L.J.: What are your plans for after graduation?

Haubrich: I’ve decided to join the USA Women’s Team Handball Team. Kind of redundant (laughing).

L.J.: What is your favorite memory from your college basketball career?

Haubrich: Best memory off the top of my head is the UMBC game in the tournament this year. It made everything worth it, every second of practice, and all the hardships. It was all worth it throughout that game.

L.J.: What will you miss most about Binghamton?

Haubrich: I think I’ll miss most the team environment that you live in for four year and the different people that I have met and changed my life.

Head coach Rich Conover on Haubrich: Jen Haubrich was one of the hardest workers this program has ever seen. She improved her game every year due to her work ethic. She really was the emotional leader of the team the past two seasons. Every coach would love the opportunity to coach a player like her. It was great to see her efforts rewarded by the conference coaches that named her to the All-Defensive Team.
