Lock:
NEW YORK GIANTS (-7) over Philadelphia: I don’t care that Plaxico is an idiot. I’ve been saying for a while that his presence isn’t necessary for the Giants to win. And I was proved right last week when the G-men trounced the Redskins without him. They’ll do the same thing to the Eagles this week.
New York Jets (-3.5) over SAN FRANCISCO: As much as I hate to admit it, the Jets are a pretty good football team. Brett Favre is seemingly magical and Thomas Jones is a VERY good running back. San Francisco is OK. That’s the most praise I can give them.
New England (-5) over SEATTLE: Seattle has been extremely disappointing this season. Plain and simple, the Patriots are going to blow them out this weekend. Matt Cassel is for real, and although the Pats will never stick with him as QB when Tom Brady comes back from injury next season, Cassel will be great trade bait come draft time.
NEW ORLEANS (+3) over Atlanta: I always say that I believe in the Saints. This week is no different. The Haastile Bottom Line of the Week is this: Drew Brees has a lightning bolt for a right arm. The Falcons’ pass rush isn’t good in the slightest, and Brees and Co. will make an example of them on Sunday.
