Lock:
Indianapolis (+2.5) over SAN DIEGO: San Diego has been one of the most disappointing teams this season. Indy hasn’t shown a lot of fire either, but they are the better team in this match-up. Joseph Addai is getting back to fine form, and he’ll run all over the Chargers here.
BALTIMORE (-1) over Philadelphia: The Ravens weren’t completely embarrassed by the Giants last week, and the Eagles are certainly not the Giants. Joe Flacco is developing very fast, and he’s already a decent pro QB. Philly is so spotty that I just can’t give them this one.
New England (+1) over MIAMI: Matt Cassel is not Tom Brady, OK Pats fans? However, he’s doing a damn good job being Matt Cassel, and he won’t end that trend this week against a mediocre Dolphins pass rush. On the other side of things, the Haastile Bottom Line of the Week is a question this week: How is Chad Pennington still in one piece? I figured he’d have fallen apart like a Mr. Potato Head by now.
New York Giants (-3) over ARIZONA: Kurt Warner looks like an MVP. In reality, he’s an old man who has incredible receivers. The Cardinals have absolutely no running game, so the Giants’ stellar defense won’t have to guess what’s coming when Warner lines up under center. Eli Manning will be adequate as always, and the G-men will win in convincing fashion.
