The Delta Chi national organization issued the following statement in regards to its BU chapter:

The Delta Chi International Fraternity is currently investigating its Binghamton Chapter at Binghamton University. The investigation was precipitated by reports of alleged hazing and all chapter activity has been suspended pending results of the investigation.
Delta Chi believes very strongly in providing a quality fraternity experience for young men. Delta Chi does not support or condone activities inconsistent with the values of strong moral character, leadership, educational excellence, and civic responsibility.
Delta Chi will conduct a thorough review and perform our duties to their fullest extent and in accordance with the due process established in our Constitution, By-laws and Regulations. Both the University and Fraternity have a concern for the well-being and safety of its students and members, therefore, we will be working closely together as we determine the next course of action.
It is Delta Chi’s purpose to provide great advantages through its membership that are derived from a brotherhood of university men who promote friendship, develop character, advance justice, and assist in the acquisition of a sound education.
Originally founded as a law fraternity, Delta Chi still holds as its cardinal principle the observance of and respect for the law. Delta Chi has 126 chapters and colonies and over 106,000 initiated members across the United States and Canada.
No other statements will be provided at this time due to the pending investigation.
